What is a Minooka Park Poker Run and how much does it cost?
The poker run is not a race and is open to all riders regardless of age or experience level.  The cost to enter the poker run is $10.00 with 100% payback.  Everyone entering the run will receive a $5.00 discount off regular admission so an adult entering the run will pay $10.00 admission at the gate and $10.00 entry fee for the poker run.  All entry fee money goes into the pot.  The more riders the larger the prizes and the more winners!

How does the Poker Run work?
All riders entering the park can begin riding the trails at any time.  Stations will be set up around 11:00 at five different locations on the trail system.  All five stations will have a bucket with a certain color bead.  Once you collect all five colors you come back to the check station and exchange your beads for five playing cards.  The rider with the best poker hand wins.  Our last poker run paid the top four riders.  The run last for four hours which is plenty of time to cover the trail system; remember, it is not a race.  So you don't have to be the fastest rider or even know how to play poker to win.  It's all about good family fun!

Can I enter more than once?
You can enter as many times as you like.  For instance if you enter twice you will collect two beads from each bucket and draw two poker hands.  The cost is $10.00 per entry.

Will the park be open as usual for people not entering the poker run?
Yes, the trails are open to all with the same operating hours 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.  There will also be a food vendor here so it's a great day to visit the park.  Normal admission fees will apply for riding and fishing.  Remember, if you're not riding or fishing there is no charge.
